I am a sorry excuse for a blogger....:0)...been so long!

Hello all out there in blog land. I win the award for the worst blogger in the history of bloggers. The last time I updated this blog was Christmas for crying out loud. Geez. I am no good:0)...We have been having fun though living this life of ours- so that is my excuse- too busy living to stop and document. I will try and do better (but will make no promises)...So there are way too many pictures to describe what each picture is and what we're doing but you can probably figure it out:0)...One thing super cool I want to highlight- its hard to pick just one- is M's birthday- My oldest baby turned 8. She is such a neat little kid and I am so proud of her...here are some of her awesome qualities at 8...

- loves her sisters and is protective of them

- she takes pride in her schoolwork (well most of the time!!)

- great little soccer player and just loves to score (well really who doesn't??)

- tries hard to include others

- is growing in her knowledge of Christ and what He means to her on a daily basis

- loves one on one attention from her dad and I

- loves to play outside and play pretend

- loves to draw

- loves when I braid her hair

- loves me to sit there with her while she is going to sleep and she tells me what is on her heart- love this precious time.

- loves loves loves doggies (if I were a good momma- I would get her one- in due time I promise!!)

- in lieu of gifts at her birthday party, she opted to have her friends donate money to the Atlanta Pet Rescue center so she could use her money to help the sick doggies there.

- this kid is just one of a kind and I could not be more proud of her...

that said...ENJOY the pics and I will try to be a more frequent blogger!!!

All of her sweet friends at her "club Maggie" disco/karaoke 8th birthday party. So much fun and such a great group of little girls. We had a ball- all 20 of us!! Whew....

These were the party favors- fun disco hats and disco ball necklaces. We also did little blow up microphones that they could put some "bling" on... so fun!

Tear jerker alert: my precious nephew selected my awesome husband to receive his "courage award" in his target class at school. THis might have been the sweetest thing I have ever attended. It touched T's heart so much that B thought of him for this award. B was very touched when learning of T's blood clot condition and that T can no longer play hockey because of his medication. With B being a huge sports fan, this was very impactful on him and he told T that it took a lot of courage to be him!! What a precious boy.

Christmas and Canada...hello 2011!!

What a great Christmas we had! We left Atlanta the day after Christmas after an historic snowfall on Christmas day- first time ATL had a white Christmas in a very long time. We had flight cancellations and all kinds of stuff (including almost not being able to get out of G and P's neighborhood) but we made it to the great white north and had a ball. We went tobagganing, T and I had a very festive NYE date, played with our J and P and all the Canadian cousins. It was so awesome and we felt truly blessed. We got home from Canada and the kids went back to school for 4 days and then they were out of school for an precedented 5 days....it was crazy but so fun. I personally loved having my whole little family tucked in right beside me- we built fires each night and roasted marshmallows, watched movies and just enjoyed being together. I know that my kiddo's will grow up one day and the thought of spending so much time with their family won't seem like as much fun as hanging out with their friends (Lord knows I know this as I went through it too as most kids do) so I am treasuring these moments = like little presents from the Lord. All the snow, I believe, was Gods way of telling all of us to just slow down and appreciate the small things that He has blessed us with. Thank you Lord Jesus for all of these sweet reminders. Here are some pics of our fun trip up North....:0)...
A sweet friend from Canada- her daddy and our daddy have been friends since high school
