Christmas and Canada...hello 2011!!

What a great Christmas we had! We left Atlanta the day after Christmas after an historic snowfall on Christmas day- first time ATL had a white Christmas in a very long time. We had flight cancellations and all kinds of stuff (including almost not being able to get out of G and P's neighborhood) but we made it to the great white north and had a ball. We went tobagganing, T and I had a very festive NYE date, played with our J and P and all the Canadian cousins. It was so awesome and we felt truly blessed. We got home from Canada and the kids went back to school for 4 days and then they were out of school for an precedented 5 days....it was crazy but so fun. I personally loved having my whole little family tucked in right beside me- we built fires each night and roasted marshmallows, watched movies and just enjoyed being together. I know that my kiddo's will grow up one day and the thought of spending so much time with their family won't seem like as much fun as hanging out with their friends (Lord knows I know this as I went through it too as most kids do) so I am treasuring these moments = like little presents from the Lord. All the snow, I believe, was Gods way of telling all of us to just slow down and appreciate the small things that He has blessed us with. Thank you Lord Jesus for all of these sweet reminders. Here are some pics of our fun trip up North....:0)...

The Latest "goings ons" of our little gang....

Love this pic of my littlest one. My friend Brittany is an AMAZING photographer and even though she is not really taking pictures anymore, she agreed to take D's 3, 6, 9 and 12 months pics and I love them all.
Silly cousins at the beach....they have the best time together.

Aunt T made all the kids precious sand buckets with their initial on it. They were so cute! Thanks T!

S and B hanging at the beach.....

The fam at the beach (the trip that T could go with us on...). He unfortunately had to miss the big family trip for a work trip- oh well!! We're just thankful he has a job in this crazy economy so we made do without him even though we missed him so bad. In fact, we made a flathead of T so we could include him in all the pictures...I will post some of those later as they are funny!

Silly sisters....

Love this one.

First day of preschool for little girl. Yes I start them early. Good for mommy and good for baby:0)....

D's 1st birthday party at gigi and poppy's- what good friends came to celebrate our girl!

Do ya think she liked the cake?

D is 1 and WALKING and school starts!

Lots of fun stuff going on around here, I barely have time to keep up! M started 2nd grade and S started Kindergarten. So far so good for both so praise the good Lord for that! D is 1 and she is doing all sorts of fun stuff. Having her big 1 year bday tomorrow so will post pics of that later but here are some of her actual bday. Such a big girl. Also a video of her walking. Yummy- could just eat her right up!
Since she is now 1- here are some things going on in her little life that I would like to document....
- she is my biggest baby by far- at the same month she beats her sisters by 3 and 4 lbs- awesome

- she walked at 11 months which is my earliest walker- strangely I never put shoes on this one as I went to Coggins to get her foot measured she was already a 5.5- what??? I had a bag of size 4 and 5's upstairs from her big sisters but I guess when you are baby #3 you are really just lucky to have clothes on much less shoes:0)...

- she is so cuddly

- she loves her sissies so much and constantly stares at them and tries to "play"

- she is about to start the young 1's program at our church- she will have fun but its mainly so I can help out at the big girls school as that is not fun for her anymore to sit in her stroller while mommy does her thing- she will be much happier playing for a few hours a week.

- her hair is so soft and stark white

- she really looks just like her sisters- especially M

- She loves to say "hi" and she says it very fast and very sweet

- she already has 8 teeth so maybe we'll have some steak at her party:-)

- this little one is loved so much by all of us

My prayer for her is that she will grow into the Godly woman that the good Lord wants her to be- just help her daddy and I be the best parents we can be- we will for sure be imperfect without a doubt but I pray that the good Lord will use us to show her how much He loves her!!!

S with "Teddy"- her classroom bear.

M and S in their "spirit" wear! Gooo Due West Hoya's!
S, D and M on D's ACTUAL birthday! We got her a cupcake and let her go to town- she was a big fan!
Here is little girl mid cupcake- yumola!!M and S on the morning of the first day! On D's birthday, we met Gigi and Poppy for breakfast at Waffle House and we got D a baby waffle and put a candle in it-she was like, huh?

S on the first day with her big backpack!our little walker!M with her "peep" toe wedges (holy moly) and her messenger bag (what a big girl!!) on first day of 2nd grade...

S is 5 and some other interesting stuff....

First of all, my middle baby is 5. Sounds so old doesn't it? She is so so great that one. Such a little stinker. There are so many things I love about this one (of course I love all 3 of them but each of them hold a very special place in my heart- unique to who they are). Here are some things I just adore about my S...

- that child could play by herself for hours- so creative
- I am serious when I tell people that she could rip a napkin in two and have two "people" and they could entertain her for 2 hours- seriously

- she loves her big sister more than life

- she loves her little sister too and is learning to be more gentle with her

- she loves to snuggle

- she loves spaghetti and cocoa pebbles- well not together but you get my drift

- she could play polly pocket and/or Barbies for hours

- she loves to watch movies

- she loves when me and her daddy are proud of her

- she is a super good sleeper and always has been
- love her red hair

Those are just a few things I love about my girl. But mainly I am just humbled to be her momma. I am so blessed.

Here are some pics from the big Horse birthday party!!
